The ‘Nurturing Nature’ benches were commissioned by Baltimore Clayworks in 2009 as part of a grant from the TKF foundation whose mission is to support green spaces in urban areas.

Clayworks was given funding to create more public seating on their grounds.  I worked closely with the landscape architect who planned the green space.  It took nine weeks to complete once the design was approved, roughly 800# of clay (380 Outdoor sculpture body) and includes over 1,000 hand made mosaic tile.  Warren Smith did the concrete work and install.
